I didn’t have a good experience in Galerie44 to be honest. It was all good until the dinning chairs are on hold in French-UK custom now waiting for someone to pay the import tax. Apparently I am the one need to pay. Last year, I bought a dining table from Italy, and an arm chair from Netherlands. The price was already tax included, so I paid the price, they delivered the items. Simple as that. I thought it would be the same this time. What happened was that they didn’t mention the tax thing at all in the entire conversation through emails. Then they told me I need to pay the tax after I try to chase up the delivery. Miss Lola Brunon is trying to tell me that I’m not their type of clients, who should always expect to pay the import tax, and I deserve to pay the “price” for Brexit. It’s not just because of the money, but also the process isn’t smooth. Currently the chairs are on hold, and I’m still waiting for the letter from the delivery company, which should tell me how much and how I should pay. I’m worried the letter is lost, as it’s been nearly a week now. I would not return again.

Hello Xiwei, first of all we really regret you had a bad experience with your first order in our Gallery and thank you to take the time to share. As Brexit is something new you are right we forgot to mention each UK customer has to pay import taxes. As you know we offer you shipping for €100 but we didn't also cover import taxes. We learn from our mistake and now it will be mentioned during the order process. Best, Lola.
